Story
Education impacts skills and proficiencies that are central to human development and enhanced quality of life, bringing wide ranges of benefits to both individuals and societies. Investing in youth's education yields exceptionally high social and economic returns, giving them opportunities to be employable, and develop business skills that will close the poverty gap. To develop entrepreneurial and business skills among the women of Adamawa and reduce the unemployment rates.
Impact
Financial Literacy - Be introduced and gain knowledge of financial and business terminology and their applications, analyze cash flow and credit, examine profit and loss statements and balance sheets. Personal Leadership Development - Here youths deepen their understanding of personal growth and teamwork, goal setting, time management skills and ethics. Innovation and Technology - To come up with new ideas and technologies that increase productivity and generate greater output.
Challenge
Unfortunately, the women literacy rate in the North east is among the lowest in the country, putting women in these region at a disadvantage with respect to financial sustainability and employment opportunities. Creating access to vocational and entrepreneurial training becomes inevitable to navigate critical areas of concern such as gender equality and women empowerment. It ensures inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities.
