Empowering Teens through Community and Leadership
Story
The GRACE Teen Ambassador program is designed to empower teens though community service and leadership. This goal is achieved through instilling leadership skills by giving our ambassadors active roles in our human trafficking prevention centered projects. Each project is designed to assist in eradicating the vulnerabilities associated with human trafficking - poverty and illiteracy. Our areas of focus are educational, wellness, and nutritional support.
Impact
The long-term effect has been measured at our other GRACE centers (specifically in Thailand as this is our first US center). We have seen the lives of families changed because parents were able to get a job, because they didn't have to worry about if they could feel their kids for a while, and because they had a extra bit of help (if even for a short time). The goal is to provide the families with a little support so that they can improve their situation and better their lives. A
