Digital Literacy: 5k Youths in Connected Economy
Story
In the Connected Economy, value is created through the technology-enabled links between people, machines, and organizations. To counter that threat, organizations all over the world are changing how they operate to become part of the Connected Economy. This integration of the digital and physical worlds will transform the economy across the ten pillars that today represent its key cornerstones. Sam Onyemaechi launched a project to educate our teeming youths into the new world era of revolution.
Impact
Through education and financial support, this project nurtures self-confident, independent, and productive individuals. By breaking the cycle of poverty, Sam Onyemaechi Humanitarian Foundation is empowering new generations of youth to achieve their dreams of owning their own homes, building happy families, and creating their own satisfying life projects. This will certainly contribute to the social development of Lagos and it's environs by creating a more fair and educated society.
Challenge
The beginning of 2007 offers a conflicting picture of the global economy for those trying to discern trends, challenges and opportunities. While some developing countries are succeeding in bringing hundreds of millions out of poverty, too many are still mired in a doom spiral of conflict, poverty, and disease- despite the entry of new philanthropists, advocates and global corporations into the field of development. Our economy has changed. Once in every decade something new comes along.
